Michael Clark is a certified Tai Chi and Qigong teacher whose passion is helping people lead healthier and more balanced lives.
He is a professional member of the National Qigong Association and holds a certificate for over 200 hours of teacher training from the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi in California. He began studying Yang style Tai Chi (Cheng Man Ching lineage) in 1994 and received instructor training from two-time national Tai Chi and Push Hands champion, Chris Luth, founder of the Pacific School of Tai Chi in San Diego.
As part of his personal search for natural healing methods, Michael began studying Qigong, health cultivation exercises, in 1997. He has studied extensively with Roger Jahnke, O.M.D., a co-founder of the National Qigong Association and author of The Healer Within and The Healing Promise of Qi.
Michael has traveled to China four times to explore Qi in hospitals, temples and sacred mountains. He uses simple methods involving gentle movement, deep breathing, meditation, self-massage and healing imagery to help students achieve a calm mind, strengthen their immune systems and complement conventional methods of treatment.
Given the profound, positive affect that Tai Chi and Qigong have had on his life, he chose to share these simple yet powerful methods with others.
Michael also works in the health field as a Spanish medical interpreter at Mission Hospitals in Asheville, NC.
